Mooney CDL Offset Backing to the Left

I just wanted to say thank you. You helped me with my offset more than any of my instructors and I was able to get my CDL. Some people can do the offset with one revolution but I never make a big enough maneuver.

For the people that's left-handed, look for the cones in you drivers' side mirror, when you line the truck and trailer back up. Just graduated CDL school last week

This driver has a whole football field to drive forward. In our yard, our set up is much tighter.

Whether this maneuver works for you really depends on the dimensions of the range you're testing on... if you are on a shorter range (like I am for my class, maybe only 150 feet tops) most of these tips are moot and you have to do the offset back completely differently.

1:40 u said turn counter clock but your steering wheels showed u turned clock. U do this in all your videos

The only thing is missing in this video is the position of the steering wheel in order to complete the off set to the left

This kicked my ass today..straight backing was easy...trailer is 48ft and the truck unfortunately is a single axle I’m going to try this tomorrow but I’m counting may 2 secs I don’t think i course is as long either

The exam that I take in alberta only allows you a truck and a half foward from the bays. You are also only allowed 9.7 meters from the center of the bays in either directions. If you cross these cones you are automatically failed.

when you talk of hard right or left, is it turning the steering wheel fast, or is it turning it to the fullest, end of steering?
