The Moon (DuckTales / DuckTales: Remastered) - GaMetal Remix

We're blasting off to outer space to take on one of gaming's most legendary tunes!

For the past few years of the May Madness remake event, I've been throwing in one song that was formerly part of a GaMetal medley and making a full version. This year, I decided to go with two! Armored Armadillo from a couple of weeks ago, and this song, the NES classic that we should all know and love by now: The Moon from DuckTales.

I first did this song back in the second ever NES Medley, where it was the final song. I've been considering it as the May 'medley pick' for the past few years, but there was always other songs that had a lot more requests. This year it had numerous requests, but was still beaten out by Armadillo... so I decided to just do both!

This arrangement is based off of the magnificent Jake Kaufman arrangement from DuckTales: Remastered.

I wonder if the original composer realised how much people would end up loving this little piece. Decades later people still listen to it and cover and remix it. Easily one of the most beloved video game tracks ever made

I love the new Ducktales. Granted i'm not old enough to have witnessed the original during its runtime however the new series was very much quality.
My favorite character is Louie :3 He is so sassy and cunning and most likely a Slytherin and I love him :3.

Finally looked up the composer to this (Hiroshige Tonomura) to figure out why he went so hard for a Ducktales game, and realized he did Destiny of an Emperor's soundtrack too ( _also_ an epic soundtrack; worth checking out). Actually makes me wonder if he just wanted to keep doing the same generally epic themes (but in a lighter way obviously).

GaMetal's rendition here is of course fantastic.

Not only is this such a classic tune but the arrangement by Jake Kaufman is breathtaking, so it's awesome to see it be pushed ever further by GaMetal! This arrangement rocks in every way!
