So Gimmick puppet nightmare and IDO were banned today in master duel. I wanted to make a quick video discussing the implications for the TCG, the branded deck and show you all alternative cards we can run to achieve the same 1 card special summon ftk floodgate lock. D/D/D Vice King Requiem seems like a strong option too as it basically blocks all special summons, not just those from the extra deck, and can still be sent off of Granguignol.

In essence, locking opponents is probably worse than playing Ad Lib and looping Mirrorjade, but the deck can still do toxic shit...

Probably going the Shaddoll route, + chaos nephtys as another gran target

I’m using diabellze, prevents them from using board breakers on you like evenly or drnm and shuts down their engine spells

If people want Sanctifire banned cuz it's unfair, then what about literally every meta deck doing insanely unfair stuff? I think this might actually be good for the deck long term cuz it forces players to evolve. There's some cards coming out like the Azamina archetype which might be good in Branded too. Obviously there's LADD and Yubel which Branded players can also use.

I think Archlord Krystia is also a good option, but maybe Shaddoll is the best way to restrict summons cz it allow's you to play by "waves" instead of set a board that can be destroyed by board breakers

Like you said for a game of 1 it makes sense, but for games of 3 with all the power creep i feel like they should most likely leave it alone for at least a bit, if anything they should make more outs or people just run the out

Cant the impcantation monsters (talismandra specificly) work well in place of archlight?
Plus its a dark so it works better in case of allure

I am a returning player and have been playing branded. What I don't understand about this community is when everyone talks about how toxic puppet lock is. However, I go to locals and get locked by other cards, and no one bats an eye?
Someone explain the hypocrisy please cause I'm really getting turned off from players doing the whole "but it's cute when I do it"
