How I Solved the Ravensburger KRYPT Silver Puzzle

Ravensburger KRYPT Silver Puzzle Review I did earlier this week. This is a 654 pieces single color jigsaw puzzle (or monochrome) with very unique pieces. That was quite the challenge for me, here's how it went! Took just under 16 hours over 4 days (3h, 5h, 3h, 5h)

Not a beginner puzzle for sure! Great job persevering and I am sure you felt very accomplished for pushing past defeat! Hardest puzzle I ever did was an "Impossibles" puzzle which means no border, 5 extra pieces and picture on box will give you the general idea of the puzzle but is not the puzzle. It was before I retired so only had evenings to work on it and took me a month to get that monster done. I wanted to just flip the entire table upside down lots of times. Some evenings I only got 10 pieces done before exasperation set in and I had to walk away! But when it was done, I left it assembled for almost a year to remind me how good it felt not to have been defeated by some bits of cardboard!

I consider myself an experienced puzzler & I still haven't attempted a krypt. Like u, I'm worried I won't enjoy the experience. Congratulations on completing one! I'm so glad u didn't give up!

Also natural light is best to do a puzzle in will notice the difference doing it during a sunny day by a window. 😮

The Krypt series was definitely not meant for beginners. I have done the silver, gold and black and this one was the easiest of the three. I find that doing these puzzles improves my ability to spot minute shape differences. If you decide to do it again later then I suggest that you sort like you did but spread the pieces on a foam board and arrange them in a grid so that you better see the distinctive features of each piece. From there you can try improving your puzzling skills but trying to spot the correct piece in as few attempts as possible.

Try to get the gradient Krypt. It is super fun. I barely had to even look at the box. Whole different experience.

Wow, you did really well. Until Covid hit I hadn't done any puzzling for over 20 years and it took 2 years since then before I was brave enough to jump into a Krypt. I started with the Gradient - loved it - then moved on to Pink, Silver, Gold and Black. I also have the Mint Green but haven't started it yet . Pink and Silver are the same piece cut and it's fun to swap out pieces between them to create your own colour scheme. Gradient and Gold are the same cut too but I haven't messed with them yet. 🙂

I have done 3 or 4 of those and silver was also my first. They really do get easier. I like them but I have to be in the right mood for the challenge.

I had the pink krypt and gave up after completing the frame. I was not having a good time at all, and I puzzle to have fun and relax. It wasn’t hard because you are a beginner believe me. I’ve been puzzling for 12 years now and gave up on it. I’ve pasted it on now, but I was thinking afterwards that it might have been easier to start in the middle. I have had the gradient krypt, for about 2 years now but haven’t been able to convince myself to try it, should be easier but…

Yep. Not for me. Your video shows it could be boring and tedious. You saved me some money!
