TOP TEN: The Best Songs Of Frank Farian (Producer)

Last week the world lost another important person from the music industry of the last 50+ years. Frank Farian, born as Franz Reuther in Germany. He first started singing on his own and even had a #1 song in his homecountry with the German cover of "Rocky", an original song by Dicky Lee.

From the money he made with this hit he bought himself a studio and started producing songs. His biggest creation was Boney M., a group he formed with 3 females and one man, who had multiple international top songs including #1s in various countries. Farian provided the male vocals for the group while Boney M. member Bobby Farrell lipsynced and danced.

His next project brought him more success but also a huge controversy. Once again he hired two dancers/models to lipsync as Milli Vanilli. The duo had multiple #1 songs even in the USA and won a Grammy but when they were exposed as not singing that award was revoked.

But it wasn't Farian's last big project: He co-produced an Eurodance group called La Bouche and once again helped them to international stardom.
