Agile Red Flags (Anti-Patterns)

Often times when I see complaints about #Agile, it’s because there are anti-patterns that exist. These are things that commonly happen but should be resolved if an organization values moving towards an Agile mindset.

In this video, I share just a few anti-patterns (there are others I will share in subsequent videos and are available on my YouTube channel!) and outline the impacts of such patterns existing.

In future videos, I will share how to overcome these patterns.

Ultimately an organization’s willingness to change typically serves as their biggest hindrance to adopting an Agile mindset. Change is hard but is necessary if organizations wish to sustain through market conditions that otherwise could end the organization.

Recently worked on a project where the Product Owner was also the scrum master, he was extremely overbearing and would make the developers Demo the work they’d done from previous 2-4 days during daily stand up whilst a sprint is ongoing. This made our stand ups last for 30 minutes daily, then he would drag us right straight into and hour and a half sprint planning immediately after stand up. He is the global head of a business unit in a large corporation … 😅
What do you think?

This was very helpful as I’m currently in a program to get my Scrum Master.
