AMD has launched their RX 5700XT and RX 5700 based on the Navi 10 and RDNA GPU architecture. It looks really promising. The prices for these cards will be $449 for the RX 5700XT and $379 for the RX 5700 which puts them up against the RTX 2070 and RTX 2060 respectively. But will performance and framerates actually line up to make these the best new graphics cards of 2019? Well you won't know until the review. ;)

If you were wondering why there wasn't pricing in this video, AMD flat out refused to give us that information until their livestream. They are $449 and $379 for the RX 5700XT and RX 5700 respectively. IN ADDITION, AMD screwed up on the slides they gave us (whatdayaknow...) and the texture units for the RX 5700XT is 160 while the RX 5700 has 144. Seriously, that's a pretty significant

@6:40, The RX 5700XTs were NOT meant to compete with the RTX 2080, that is left for the Radeon VII. These cards are meant to compete at the 2070 and 2070ti level with the RX 5700 competing with the 2060.

They were never going to undercut the Radeon VII especially since the public presentation 2-3wks ago at Computex, had both Radeon VII and Navi on the same slide with Lisa Su saying Vega was going to remain in their plans for a while.

AMD also made it clear today that RX 5700(XT) were 1440p gaming cards, Radeon VII was billed at CES as a 4K gaming card to also serve content creators. These Navi GPUs were to replace Polaris and bring Polaris users up to Vega 10 hardware and performance levels with a much more improved/tuned architecture for gaming rather than compute.

Why does the XT look like as if Linus dropped the prototype on the edge of a table and AMD 😂

The RX 5700 might be a good option for me. But have to wait for final prices in Germany, how 3rd Parties will implement it and what Nvidia will offer in July.

Will make more sense when prices drop.

I'm happy that AMD returns to the ATi naming scheme with XT and possibly Pro name in the future.

I remember buying my gtx 970 for $280 back in 2014. Still have it to this day, but I’ve been looking to upgrade. Just haven’t found anything with as good price/performance as my 970.

Keep in mind that there are also mid range gamers on PC. Also some countries have to pay more taxes than others.

As an enthusiast, I am not concerned with power consumption. However I am concerned with raw performance in productivity, and when I have the time, gaming.

I am mostly excited about these products since they will ensure competition and innovation. I feel Nvidia has started to think they are Intel: unassailable and secure in the market.

I like how AMD just targeted the lower end rtx cards because they knew the 2080 would fuck em up on the performance side 😂

The shroud has room for 8+8pin
5800 exists, I hope

I would love to see some testing with the new RX 5700 XT using only 8 lanes of PCIe 4.0. I suspect that the performance loss will be minimal and so, it would open an extra 8 lanes of PCIe directly connected to the CPU for addin cards that wouldn’t be competing for chipset priority.

Hey. How are you today?
Is there any noticeable difference between MSI RTX 2080 Ti, Gigabyte RTX 2080 Ti, Asus RTX 2080 Ti when you use it to render movies (like 4K 6fps) using Adobe Premiere?
Price wise they cost anywhere from £900 to £1500. I'd pick the cheaper one if there is no obvious difference.

So your comments on RDNA vs Vega has me wondering how this card performs with Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve. Does it take a hit with that type of processing load since it is really game focused?

Hey can you retake a look at Radeon 7 vs rtx 2080 and 2080 ti for video editing. Would it make a difference if it is an hour worth of footage?

If its 7nm instead of 14. Why make the total chip size so small? Aren’t they like purposefully breaking moores law?
