Edgar entered a fight with Roamer Alexis Angulo on Jun 11, 2022 (11 p.m. ET, ESPN) on a run of three decision victories that have taken some of the shine off of Berlanga's hype.

Berlanga's (19-0, 16 KO) knockout streak tied the all-time record in boxing and set the expectation that he would be a vicious finisher who would continue making quick work of any and all opponents until he reached the world title level.

Berlanga es un chiste no sirve para nada ya tiene 25 años y no le a ganado a nadie este ángulo ni siquiera lo conocía y le ganó claramente siendo un boxeador de 38 años apunto del retiro y lo vencio fácilmente no se que pelea vieron los jueces Ángulo gano por lo menos 8 a 2 si no es que 10 a 0 se pasaron que descaro de robo

I hope I'm wrong but it just seems to me that Berlanga is too simple for Canelo. What I mean is Berlanga comes with the same combinations and if they don't work, he's coming back next round with the same combinations. He seems to always be late with his body shots. He may be a hard puncher but not a fast one, not at the elite level. He gets clipped with big shots more than he should.

I just think Canelo can download what Berlanga is trying to do and then start applying the necessary counters to either cause him to fight backwards or drop him outright.
Canelo simply has too much experience and I'm not talking about fights, I'm talking about rounds.

I saw David Benevidez fighting Roamer Alexis Angulo and his combinations were creative and snappy. He looked like he would stop Roamer Alexis Angulo at any time and David Benevidez was only a 22 year old at the time so he didn't even have his man strength.

I like Berlanga but realistically he's just too predicatble. A hard puncher who is unable to adapt and has holes in his defense.

Berlanga needs alot of work, o wouldn't invest in him just yet. I hope he proves us haters wrong, but he is not the next puerto rican champion.
