In this video I am going to show you how to get 150-200 Chompy Kills an hour. This is for after you have completed the Big Chompy Bird Hunting quest and want to get chompy kills for the hats or diary requirements. I’d also recommend partial completion of Zorge Flesh Eaters to unlock the Comp Ogre Bow. It’s not needed but it definitely helps speed up the kills as the comp ogre bow has a faster attack speed than the normal Ogre Bow. The Comp Ogre Bow also allows you to use Brutal Arrows which will help kill the chompies faster.
I ended up using just under 200 arrows for 300 kills with Avas. I never picked up any arrows off the ground.
In my inventory I had a teleport out for when I was done and 24 ogre bellows. The last 3 spaces I left open. You’ll need some open spaces for when you inflate the swamp toads. I also never ran out of energy but if you have a low agility level it may be worth bringing a stamina pot or two. You can trade out some of the ogre bellows but I would highly recommend having a minimum of 20 bellows in your inventory.
For gear setup, you’re going to want to bring the comp ogre bow or ogre bow, brutal arrows or ogre arrows. Again a comp ogre bow and brutal arrows are the best. Some dragonhide armor and an Avas are essential. The rest is up to you. I like to bring some light weight armor to help reduce my weight and also a necklace of anguish and archer ring help but are not needed.
For getting multiple bellows you’ll need to head back over to Rantz’s cave in Feldip Hills, fairy ring AKS will get you there quickly, and steal them from his chest. If you have one or more bellows in your inventory or bank you won’t find anymore in Rantz’s chest so you’ll need to drop the bellow out of your inventory first and then steal from the chest. Keep dropping the bellows and stealing until you have a total of 24-25 bellows, then pick them all back up off the ground. You have time to do this as the bellows will not disappear off the ground for 3 minutes after dropping.
Once you have all the items and gear you need, head over to this location here, which is west of Castle Wars. This is the best place to kill chompy birds and will net you 150-200 kills an hour. Fill up all your bellows by right clicking on the swamp and choosing to suck swamp bubbles. All bellows will start to auto-fill. Next, click the toads to make them bloated and then from your inventory left click the toad to lay it down. Keep doing this until chompies start to spawn. Whenever a chompy spawns attach it immediately. If you attack a chompy before it get to the toad then it will not eat toad. You want to keep as many toads on the ground as possible to help increase the chompy spawns. If multiple chompies spawn, attack all of them to get them off the toads and then start killing them. I always attacked all the chompies and then went back to the first chompy to spawn.
Keep any eye on your minimap and screen to see when a chompy spawns. An arrow will appear above their head. To check your kill count, right click your bow and select “check” option to see how many chompies you have killed so far.
