Nevermind ranked anxiety, I get the shivers just solo queueing in normals.

I had this Problem for 2 years, too Long tbh....

But I found my solution.

I join EVERY game, attempting to troll... Its crazy but it works for me.
Whenever i join a game, NOT trying to win, im calm as fck...
I dont even want to win anymore, i dont want to get ranks... I just want to make crazy Plays and laugh at stupid situations....

And with that mindset, i got to diamond5.

I was in silver for 2 years beacuse i was so scared of rankeds....
All my friends were in high elo and I was giving them But silver lol...

Now im Diamond, i Play 6-7 rankeds each day.... Np at all...

Sometimes the first game of the day is a Little bit weird, but then ist easy.

I had this big depression a while back, my girlfriend moved and i lost alot in ranked, i just didnt wanna play it at all. I just didnt wanna lose my silver 1 rank as the best in my class, then people started catching up and i decided i would try again. And just going in saying "fck it elo is only a stupid number". It worked for me, i imagined elo as nothing but a number and in losses i didnt care and in wins i joked around. I started winning more as i didnt rage or get pissed at my teammates. Just remember elo is nothing you are supposed to have fun so play for fun and learn fun champs to play and set up goals in game, like i will have 100 cs at 10 min, or i will gank mid 3 times in 5 min or whatever. This lets your mind focus on the smaller objectives instead of the big one like losing so if you lose you go "atleast i had 100 cs at 10" and bring that on to the next game and increase it to 110 at 11 min or something. Helped me a bunch!

Brilliant. I read a bit about anxiety and self-attacking thoughts so most of the knowledge was familiar to me, but the comment about needing the sufficiently demanding cognitive task to distract yourself to regain control makes a real sense to me and it's according to what I already heard from people as well.

Thanks foxdrop! This information did not completely cure ke of my anxiety because in my case it is tied to stuff going on IRL, but it definitely helped me understand it more, and I hope I will find the courage now to finally finish my placement matches.
