I’m SO OVER INSTAGRAM!!! As a small business owner who does services all day on clients has completely taken the joy out of me wanting to post bc it’s all about WHEN TO POST, HOW TO POST, WHAT TRENDING AUDIO, WHAT TRENDS, REELS, POSTS, CAROUSELS, POST MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY, HIGH QUALITY, ETC…it’s EXHAUSTING!!! It’s taken the love of what I do and wanting to share it, to not wanting to show/share bc I can’t keep up. I am only one person, I don’t have time to shoot videos/shoots in between clients etc. which has made my anxiety worse and not to mention imposter syndrome bc my content isn’t pushed out as much so getting only a dozen likes compared to hundreds like I use to…that makes me NOT want to post. I get I’m not a content creator, but I use to love using it to show off my work and now, I just hate it…

I have 4k followers but I average 400-800 views on my reels. I've even had the situation where I randomly see a post from someone I follow and I think to myself "huh where have they been, haven't seen them post in forever". Then I go to their profile to see, and they've been posting consistently but their content hasn't ended up on my feed in like a year. It's broken. What's the point of following people if we never see their posts.

Genuinely -- What incentive is there for creators to post on Instagram?

If Instagram is moving in a direction where follower count matters less, the app is oversaturated so your content is competing against thousands or millions of others like it, they don't have any sort of revenue share model for hard-working content creators that consistently add value to the platform, and the unpredictability might make brands less willing to sponsor posts, legitimately what reason is there to value Instagram over Youtube or Tiktok?

Is it just a tool for reaching new audiences or funneling people to a different platform? Is it just better for businesses and brands?

I don't mean to sound like a disgruntled creator (though I am, ngl because I hate Insta) I just wanna know if I should get over it and post anyway because there's value that I'm overlooking?
