Amazing interview💕 👏 Kudos to Inna for reaching fluency in English. I can't even imagine speaking like a native, especially when you don't live in an English speaking community. Cheers 🇵🇱

Dave, thanks a lot for this interview. Btw, I would love to watch a video about you quitting politics and becoming an English teacher, and I believe a vast majority of your subscribers would love too.

Awesome. Yes, It was a long interview as you said, but I watched it all to the end. Inna is just fantastic and her British accent is spot on. It's so near native that I once tricked an English native speaker friend of mine into thinking she was British, by asking him if he could guess her regional English accent :) And when I said she was not, he said "oh you got me there". Of course I let him listen to her briefly, and that was enough to dupe him.

It was a great interview, very informative, I actually learned a lot about the process of learning a language, something that, as you both said, is missing from the videos on YouTube channels. I will follow on the links you provided, although I am familiar with all of Inna's videos. Thank you, again

How to sound normal and natural:

I watched your video, and I have to say, it was really a very good interview. I loved how you explained everything so clearly, and your presentation was engaging.

How to sound ""native""

Well, butter my biscuit! That video was a real hootenanny! It was like a barrel of monkeys, and it had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster at a pickle festival. You really knocked it out of the park, my friend!

How to sound ""eloquent"" and ""advanced""

Upon viewing your video production, I must commend your unparalleled virtuosity in the realm of multimedia. Your elucidation of the subject matter was akin to a majestic symphony of enlightenment, and your oratory skills radiated like a supernova amidst the galaxy of online content. Bravo, my digital compatriot, bravo!

Happy Birthday Dave, you should've told us that it's your birthday. And I will remember cause it's my son's birthday too. Enjoy your day and all I can say is may all your dreams and plans come true. I kind of have similar plan, to live in Canada where my son is but in Toronto area

I’am a Chinese language teacher, and I have very similar views on the process and specifics of learning a foreign language,
Inna says things almost the exact way I would describe them,
pleasure to meet someone who sees the picture that way, and who’s great results (achieved by following those methods) only prove the point
It’s a pity I missed my chance to learn English better quality back in the day, I wish I had all those grammar books then and could focus more on a proper drilling, which I’ve always liked to do

Thank you @innainenglish for your insights about our intuition. 🙏👍
Linguistic intuition is indeed a crucial aspect of mastering a second language, especially for adults. When learning a new language, it's common to rely heavily on rules and memorization. However, as we progress, developing linguistic intuition allows us to use the language more naturally, like a native speaker. This intuition helps you understand nuances, idiomatic expressions, and context, which can be challenging to grasp solely through formal learning. To retrain our skills for this, immerse yourself in the language, practice speaking and listening regularly, and expose yourself to various language sources, like books, movies, and conversations. Over time, your linguistic intuition will improve, making your communication smoother and more effective.

Interesting. As a student of Russian, I always felt that Russian uses a lot more verbs than English. I'm actually studying Russian while watching this video by interpreting what I can into Russian (which isn't much!). But I feel like I keep saying the same verbs over and over again. When I write down the verbs in a Youtube video in Russian, the number of unique verbs that I end up with is much longer. Also, her English is spot on. I didn't realize English wasn't her native language, until it was pointed out.

I love your conversation. My few remarks. English is a rational language and easy to learn. There two things - grammar and phonetics ' one should focus on. Vocabulary will follow. I really love your talk. Thanks

First of all, I've never heard a better Russian speaking person having such wonderful English with the British accent.
So, ESL students in the race for all those idioms and speech patterns sort of rise the level for native English speakers, I guess.
