I use one on a daily basis, had it for 2 years now with no issues, the rubber grip is wearing off the handle but thats to be expected. It does not blow breakers, quite the opposite its one of the few tools i have with soft start. I wouldn't go back to a petrol saw ever again, even if I have no power I keep a generator in the truck anyway. The only bad thing I could possibly say about it is the large handle makes it difficult to cut up against a wall as you mentioned.

I have had one for about two years and have really liked it. I don’t use it everyday but I have not had a problem with it. I use 10guage extension cords and a generator and have never tripped a breaker

That was a good demonstration of why one needs a water hook up.

I have seen guys using these on street construction jobs and none of them ever used a vacuum and I don't even think they used a mask. I always felt sorry for them. A long time ago I read a story about a bank that was robbed by guys who tunneled under the bank and broke through the floor of the vault on a Sunday. I bet they used one of these for the floor. The funny part about the robbery was vibrations tripped an alarm and police came and the robbers got scared and left but they did not know there was no way to open the vault until Monday and no one knew there was a tunnel.

Look at you doing metric ! Cool ! Thumbs up !

@ 3:15 is it my tired eyes or is the blade on the electric canted out of vertical ? Or is it just not sitting level on the bench ? Can't see any but does the electric have rollers ? As an option maybe ?

Skinny up the handle ? Sounds like a future YouTube improvement project :-)

Great vid, I was super skeptical at the start, comparing apple to oranges, but like you surprised and impressed. Thanks for the great review !

My local Canadian tire has this saw on clearance for $174 thought I’d come here first and see if it’s worth it….I’m buying it now! Haha

Update:
Bought the saw $197 taxes in.

Got it home started cutting up my concrete side walk and concrete curb. No issues so far, I’ve done about 25 cuts. I’m about 3/8ths finished this thing cuts concrete and reinforced concrete. Very minimal vibration, simple to use not overly dusty (I was expecting more) perhaps the blade it’s using is not as dusty? Idk I’m impressed.
The quote to have my side walk cut out was $2800
I believe I will have to buy at least 1 more blade maybe 2 but they are like $70 a pop $45 for the cheapies. I recommend this saw.

Thanks, this is a really helpful video. I'm looking for something for occasional use whilst renovating my house, cutting through brick and blockwork, mostly, but also the odd bit of concrete, and trimming of steel lintels to length. I think this will probably fit the bill, and I'll certainly be happier using something that doesn't emit fumes indoors. Thanks again!

Good point about the handle sticking out so far. It seems to be just fine for a DIY guy.

Thank you,
You answered my question about an electric demo saw

We had an evolution electric wet saw and it would constantly trip out and need to be reset because water would get behind the plastic cover . Other than that it worked pretty good. Needless to say we used it a couple times and now it just sits collecting dust

I got one that’s 15amp. Hope to use it soon to break up a slab. Will be curious to see if it does nearly as well. Good vid.

i bought one of these saws with a water line. Returned it after a month of use. It kept shutting off because of the special plug they put on it. (I forgot what they're called...) It couldn't cut through rebar either, it would overload it and shut off.

Do u think it would cut through 3 inch layer of asphalt black top? I need to cut out square holes to auger up fence post holes and cut a channel out of the same asphalt/black top to dig and Barry a power line to a sub panel going to a detached garage?

Just FYI the Hilti gas saw blade can be moved to the other side. It takes a few minutes to set up and gets about an inch away from the wall.
