Today we're getting a look at the Vertigo tremolo by Source Audio. Straight from the One Series, the Vertigo is a modern, full featured tremolo for guitarists not afraid to think outside the stompbox. A toggle switch selects one of three classic sounds ranging from Normal blackface optical trem, to gentle overdriven Bias trem, all the way to brownface-style Harmonic tremolo. Four knobs govern each mode, including standard Rate and Depth controls, as well as a unique waveform-carving Shape knob and a Level control to combat any volume loss. The Vertigo is compatible with Source Audio's sophisticated Neuro app and Hub, which allows users access to an entire library of hybrid tremolo/modulation algorithms as well as advanced controls, such as mix, tap tempo and a full parametric EQ. The Vertigo Tremolo can be controlled via MIDI, Hot Hand, tap tempo, or an Expression and connecting to Neuro Hub lets users store up to 128 presets. The icing on the cake is the Vertigo's true stereo ins and outs for rich, room-wobbling tremolo effects.

Man, I've been playing for 45 years, and I'm continually impressed with Andy's very diverse guitar skills.
What was the end song? It sounded a bit like "Who are you?"

I've been chasing stereo trem for a while now, and this one seems like it could be the one. I've tried the EH Pulsar, which is OK but I found it to be too choppy, interfering with attack and flow no matter how I set it. Ended up selling that. Next up was a rare Behringer trem/pan (TP300), which sounded great but the stereo out was broken. Based on what I've heard here and a couple other demos I have high hopes that this will earn a permanent place on my board. Thanks!

PGS I need a recommendation for a good, simple tremolo with a really aggressive choppy square wave. A more subtle trem would be nice to have but my priority is a really nasty slow helicoptor sound. Most demos I see are mellow 60s-70s rock (which I love) but I'm aiming for something a bit more out-there...

If I run stereo in and stereo out, does this give me the option to turn off/on stereo panning?

Wait so you can add a separate tap tempo pedal to it?

I'm curious as to which is more usable..vertigo, fender tre verb or TC electronics pipeline with toneprint.
I'd like a classic 60s surf sound but the ability to have some lush mellow and also hard rhythmic chop

To me this pedal sounds too digital. What do others here think?

Not having a stereo panning mode was a major mistake
