The thing is, is that the Wii U needed to exist for the Switch to thrive. Maybe it’s switch had existed earlier when we you was around it would’ve done better but I don’t think so. It needed to come out when it came out especially because the 3DS was still doing well.

Wii was a huge improvement over Gamecube to the point where even people that never played in tendo started playing, it was like no other. Wii U was basically a stopgap continuing the Wii format. He couldn’t play GameCube games anymore but it could still play Wii games and I did like the game pad when I didn’t wanna play on the TV anymore. I the best part about the switch is that it’s so similar to the way you but a big improvement in the fact that you could take it with you and it’s kinda like a combination between a 3DS and Wii U. I loved all these consoles. I thought Wii U was great to have Netflix play my Wii Games and other cool games with the game pad but switch is really something else and I’m glad games like Mario Kart and 3D world were ported over.

"Madden" on the Wii U gamepad unleashed silly creativity in me. I would take a random wide receiver and just draw him running in a "z" just because. "Arkham Origins" didn't take advantage of the gamepad. The possibilities were there.

Wii U is the best in my opinion it has made my childhood.
Example: Wii u games are cheaper and has HD games like wind waker or twilight princess. You can connect the wii u to the tv whenever you want. it has also retro games from other consoles and its better than buying a pass

I do like the switch, i find myself playing on it more than my ps4 pro and ps5 as i like playing on the go, on the couch, or in my bed making it very handy when i play it anywhere i go....however there are many things i do like about the wii u i liked more than the switch. One of the things i liked about it was the gamepad with it having many features you dont see with the switch. I lked that you use it in tandem with the main console itself and if you didnt want play on the console you just use the gamepad. Kind like the ps5 with the playstation portal. Also the main console wasnt as large or big as ps4, ps5, xbox one, or xbox series x. A bit portable which i liked, and gaming library wasnt as bad as people thought, especially late years before switch came out and I saw some good games. Finally i think the software and the online service was better than nintendo as well, i hate with nintendo eshop it has tendency to lag or worse crashing. I dont ever remember that happening with the wii u shop. As you pointed out joysticks was pain with the switch and never got that problem with the wii u.

I hope in future nintendo or some other gaming company make another home gaming console, not gaming pc or emulator, like the wii u. Can you imagine how much better said system would be with modern tech? Imagine the gamepad being better, better battery life, bigger screen, improving the features on the gamepad such as range of the gamepad with the the home console. But doubt that would happen, can dream of though

I’m thinking about getting a wii u, cause I miss playing wii games and also don’t feel like hooking it up to the tv I already have a switch. but miss wii games.

Wii U games looks smoother compare to switch games for example Mario kart 8, new super Mario bros u
Whereas Mario wonder is 1080p, but doesn’t look as smooth as Mario U
For example the coins are 30fps on Wonder and Mario U coins spinning looks like 60fps

The Switch hardware is bad, lack, and has heat sink problem also joy controller is so bad. Nothing good about Switch, fanboy!!
