as a jordanian who recently moved to the usa i’d say the education back home is a lot better and more informative, i finished my senior year here in california and what seniors study is what i studied back in 7-8th grade

Most people In jordan speak English In different levels however they're not obligated to be fluent .I have visited France before and most people didn't speak a word in English!

As a Jordanian, I know for a fact that not everything you said in your video is correct. Yes, Jordan is not a paradise but compared to a lot of other countries, I'm still lucky to be in Jordan. I agree that there are things in Jordan that need to be improved just like any other country even Canada. About many Jordanians do not speak English, and this is not even close to the truth. Excuse our manner of speaking, our mother tongue is Arabic which we are very proud of. In fact, we have the advantage over you as we speak your language and you didn't speak ours. English is not a measure of intelligence - it is a language.

You can’t have safe as a Pro and Customs as a Con. Part of the reason Jordan is safe is because of strict customs policy.

Im a Jordanian who moved to USA 8 years ago, I would say education in Jordan is very great compared to USA because when I started my high school in US they have to put me in AP classes because all regular courses were too easy for me and for my siblings. as for people not speaking English I believe minority dont speak English since you cant graduate school if you fail English I would say this because I wasnt the best student in english class back when i was in Jordan but when I came to US I didnt have any issues at all and was able to communicate easily. I could see how hard it could be dealing with government workers its frustrating and sad to say but if you dont know an inside person who can make few calls then you expect to wait for long time or get scammed, also sometimes giving worker tips might help but its completely wrong.
Jordan is a very nice country not just because its where im from, i visited multiple countries cant find the hospitality or the love and respect between people anywhere else. I just wish if the government would take care of the people instead of scamming them.

If education in Jordan is bad, how come then when our kids join universities in the west, most of them excel ?!! They almost always repeat the same words “ it is easy, we covered it whilst in school” In many cases, children were upgraded to a higher classes for their exceptional academic performance .

You have been complaining about people not speaking English at least for 20 times !! I don’t like how you make us looks uneducated because of this thing you have been mentioning constantly!!
I am wondering if you even know any Arabic ?
And being able to pronounce Hummus doesn’t mean you speak Arabic 😒😒

I spent a lot of time in Jordan. Don’t agree with much of anything you’ve said.

As a Jordanian Jordanian, I appreciate your honesty and experience even if I disagree with some of your points. Keep going man!. It’s rare finding honest videos these days. Good job!

The fact that you said bloody country in the first line shows the level of your respect and education as a person.

Jordanians are very hospitable, warmth and family oriented people. They are helpful in times of needs. You will be surprised that they will try to speak English even those who are not highly educated. Few of them can speak English fluently even without finishing their highschool education. The pride of Jordanians are their medical graduates and that's the reason you find the health care in par with the free world countries. Maybe doctors in Jordan speak more fluent English than you do.
Smoking is an issue. You can ask politely not to smoke in your presence and they will gladly do so.

Would you elaborate on what makes the private schools bad? And why you call the Modern American School the modern Arab school? My understanding is that all instructions are in English.

Also, I'm very confused about your statement on the complete absence of parks... What are you talking about? There are plenty of beautiful parks with large areas to run around, trails, and playgrounds. How did you live in Amman and not know there are parks?

I didn't get how the education is worse to girls I am a Jordanian and I never heard of that, people in jordan speak English in different levels and when they keep saying yes it's just they trying to be polite remember that you're in Arabic country where people speak other language and didn't get why there people speak a language better than others with the same education system, about the drone sorry about it but it's a role everyone knows it the can't let everything enters the country couse almost all the country around it in war, entering the car as well, there is Uber and it used more wilder than Kareem if they smoke in the car you can report them also yeah smoking is an issue in Jordan it's the most smoking country but you can't smoke everywhere it's rude. back to English😅 I think almost every sign is written in both languages. as you said the water is limited in Jordan and it's one of the poorest country in water but there's a kinda system for water. there is alot of parks i don't know where you lived in Jordan but there is at least one small park in every neighborhood and there is a parks like Alhussin park to cover big arias (speaking of Amman I don't sure about other cities but of course they're parks) and pools as well.
I see that you have alot with the Police, Security and military, sorry to hear that but if it's happened with you it doesn't mean than Jordanians are oppressed by the gavernment.
Indeed Jordan is not perfect but there are so much things that i heard for the first time about Jordan from you and as i said I'm a Jordanian you should'nt generalize what happened to you as it's a fact.

As someone from Jordan, I was really surprised to hear you talk about not finding technology in Jordan. After living in Europe, I think Jordan has the same technology available. Maybe you didn't know where to look for it.

I feel bad that you had a tough time with the government here. But, isn't dealing with the government tough everywhere? Maybe not understanding the language well made it even harder.

I get why you're upset about your drone, but remember, Jordan has to be really careful because of threats from terrorists. That's why there are strict rules.

Also, I'm from Jordan and speak English well, just like many of my friends. Actually, in Jordan, we use English a lot in universities. Compared to people in France or Spain, you might find more English speakers here. But, it's true that it's harder to find English speakers in government jobs since those don't pay much and don't ask for high qualifications.

Thanks for the video!

im jordanian who is currently living in jordan

tbh i dont agree with some of the cons that u said but it doesn't mean that u are laying
some people in the comments are exaggerating and being over sensitive weather ur jordanisn or a foreigner livin in jordan even if u dont agree with this guy it doesn't mean that u have the right to mock his hair or look ..etc bro the guy is just talking about his exberince

and if am being honest if ur an european who is welling to come to live in jordan i wouldn't recomend that just because as he said the sallaries are pretty low i mean ngl even jordanian people complain about that everything else is fine in my pov whoever if ur comming for tourism i would 💯 recomend that there is a lot of fun places to go for+its the saftest contry in the region +people are hospital and welcoming+great food

However his experience is not a 💯 accurate because he was in jordan during covid
‏‪
all respect to u dude +sorry for the bad experience man, hope things will get better in our contry, keep going ❤

Am shocked as friends were with this. After living there for 5 wonderful years I can’t believe you lived there, most you have written in my experience just didn’t happen!! Customs s breeze, the country easy to get around as most speak English well. You complain about 70 JD getting out if the country but 4000 a month is fine to pay. To be honest I couldn’t listen to much more, all of my friends loved every minute and we ate fabulous food, shooed for great quality foods etc etc, it’s a Country I would tell everyone to go to, amazing and nothing like you like, sorry personally I’m not sure where you lived!! It wasn’t the Jordan I was in. I will never listen to an account of yours again.

Sorry to say, but you got tricked on monthly car wash price, its 10jds per month too 😃 Excellent point on water that needs to be discussed over and over again! Most people in Jordan do speak english! Even small little convenience store sales man spoke english to me, customs, central intelligence and other governmental places speak little to conversational english, however they can choose not to, to make your life harder, just because they didn't like your attitude. Happened to me ones, but since i also spoke Arabic back to them confronting them them, they switched to English at passport control at the airport. But in general, comparing to allot of countries Jordanians do speak English !
Regarding education - there are exceptional national academics who had ONLY governmental school education, the problem not with the system, it's with the kids wanting to learn, those who want to study can easily excel. Just saying that "teachers are local" doesnt justify your point about the educational system in private schools. Regarding your drone, it's known for obvious reasons, that drones arent allowed . And while you were told that the location or your drone is unknown, they actually know exactly where your drone is 🙂 and probably started to use it for their purposes . Thank you for this video, the truth is, if you didnt have to deal with the government, and had some real Jordanian friends they would have showed you the beauty and hospitality of Jordan! As a Ukrainian living here for 12 years, i have experienced all kind of mistreatment due to my origin, as well as having a solid group of wonderful Jordanian friends have dimmed all negative parts that i have experienced. And im studying physiotherapy at University of Jordan, where to your surprise - ALL professors are PhD and Local 🙂 The Degree is tough, diverse, up to date and comprehensive, as well as internationally recognised. I had a few choices for where to study Physio, and chose this Uni due to it's high quality and excellent english, medical degree is purely in English in Jordan.
