Iran, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia and China have resumed talks in Vienna aiming to revive the 2015 nuclear deal. The United States is participating indirectly after withdrawing from the agreement in 2018.

But there is another important party in the diplomatic efforts being made: the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The nuclear watchdog has kept communication and dialogue open with all the parties involved. But as disagreements and tensions on key issues remain unresolved, what would it take for the talks to succeed? And if negotiations fail, what’s next?

IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi talks to Al Jazeera.

The fact that he refuses to condemn (Israeli) attacks on nuclear facilities forcefully and ends up with a "but" speaks volumes

The question is will IAEA director general monitor Israeli nuclear side like they’re doing it to Iran and also why not talk about Israeli nuclear weapons.

The more pertinent question is "Can the nuclear watchdog be trusted?" .

Is this the same source that said Bahrain is less than 50% Shia? Was there a genocide I don't know about?

There's a huge issue from the Iranian side that Israel might very well have used information from the IAEA to sobotage one of their nuclear sites, also the ongoing threat of attack of these sites if they're locations are known. The sensible thing for Iran to do right now is to move much of their nuclear material to safe locations unknown to potential enemies.
It'd be interesting to know what the IAEA's recomendations are to Iran at this very dangerous time, baring in mind their role is not only non proliferation but also the safe use and storage of nuclear material?

Nuclear watchdog should do the same action to Iran & Israel. Israel has nuclear bombs, IAEA should also visit & force Israel a Nuclear-free Middle East area as well as to force IRAN to do the same.

This reporter is great and very fair...
there's a place in middle east that has nuclear weapons but it's not part of npt and nobody cares... what about that? ...
Iran had the most inspections in the world by IAEA and Iran passed it always... either negotiations go well or not, Iran would win ...why? Because if it goes bad, Iran would inrich till 100% and if it goes well then US must release the money that US government stole from iran 40 years ago plus the 1700 sanctions would go away...

Iran has every right to build nuclear weapons. I say this as a American veteran. Its hypocritical for nations with nuclear weapons and have used nuclear weapons (America) to lecture or restrict countries from obtaining self defense deterrents like nuclear weapons. If I was Oran I would continue with the nuclear program, once the nuclear weapons have been produced to use that leverage to remove all sanctions. You have to be willing to use nuclear weapons regardless of morality. Iran can say "Sure we wont win a war against America. But we can blow NYC off the map." Any nuclear deal should be removal of nuclear weapons in all the countries who sign the deal. So if America keeps its nukes, Iram can have their own also.

If Iran is banned for Nuclear enrichment, then Israel should also be banned for its nuclear bomb. USA, UK & EU played a double role.

it is obvious no agreement will be find.
I guess Rafael Grossi knows what will follow but it's too insane to admit.
