I honestly thought I would’ve liked the darker stain more, but oh my, I loved the light stain! Looks good with the mortar in the brick!!

The lighter stain is picking up the “grout” between the bricks. I love that cohesion. The dark is going to just add one more color rather than bringing them together, I think. Another thing you might think about is how the lighter color won’t show the dust and pollen as much as the darker decking would. It will look cleaner and tidier even if it isn’t ❣️

I love the look of the lighter stain, but I recommend trying it with 2 coats before you pick, assuming thats the #1 of coats the manufacturer recommends to properly protect the deck! It would be no fun if you went in for the 2nd coat and it got too gray. But if it stays close to the same shade, that's my fav :), it compliments the calming vibe of the exterior

Love the dark color on the deck as it highlights the door.

OMGosh, Kinsley checking on Cade in his crib...PRICELESS!!! So cute!! I really like the darker, middle color. But you do you!!! We will love it when it is done.

Vote: cordovan brown is super rich, warm and matches the black door, your white house, and the reddish purple brick. GO BROWN!!!

I like the lighter stain, it brings in the muted warmth that your bleached oak furniture has. But that wouldn't play off very well with rattan or aged teak, so you'd have to use iron furniture (unless you use a rug, then it would nicely break it up while remaining cohesive)

Macenna, my daughter, a Virgo, put the smaller clothes in empty diaper boxes. The size of clothes coincided with the diaper size. Quick reference when needed again. I loved seeing Cade observing outside when you were sitting on the deck❤ 💜💜💜

Darker brown for me. You lose the risk of multi colors in the boards of the patio.❤❤❤

I'm leaning towards the darker stain, tbh. Don't forget that you're putting lighter coloured furniture, too, and too much lighter shades will all blend together. There's a difference between making it all cohesive and matching. Match too much, and it all bleeds together to the point of not seeing what ends and what begins.

I like both stains but the lighter one blends in with the mortar of the bricks so well on camera at least😮 I think it’d look amazing with darker future too❤

I vote the darker stain only because it will tie in with both your kitchen AND the beams!

You can plant various herbs in the strawberry pot as well…

Loving the darker coloring for the floor. Cade is darling.

I like the light colour against the patio bricks and also the fact that it picks up the different undertones from each wood board, I think will make the overall result more natural. 😍

Had a friend tell me the best Mom hack. Keep an empty bin in babys room for clothes that baby grew out of but you don't have time to think about in the moment. When the box is full, pack it up in space saver bags and label its size. It might not be sized perfectly but if you do have another one, it's sooo much quicker to resize their clothes! Find the next labeled size range and go! Saves me so much time 😅

Loved when you just left the room and closed that door! I did that last week and told people I was channeling Scarlett’s O’Hara….”I’ll think about that tomorrow.”

Hi MaCenna
Could you put some vintage hooks behind next to the door for your coats? Then the floor space is free
