There's a huge difference with Unai at Villa and Arsenal. Pressure and Standards.

If Emery dropped out of the top 4 this season nobody at Villa would care. Even if Emery didn't qualify for the knockouts in the Champions League, nobody at Villa would care. He is under absolutely zero pressure and is managing a club that hasn't been a big club since the 80s. Arsenal are not that club. Emery has never had a good stint at a club which demands success in every season, where one slip up means he is under immense pressure. None of the players at Villa and Emery are under the pressure to become the best in England. If Emery only qualifies for Europa for the next 5 years at Villa he will still keep his job. Can you imagine that at Arsenal? Arteta is on another playing field. He's up against the greatest manager in history in Pep Guardiola, Unai Emery is not and he can never compete with Pep.

Even in Spain Emery never managed a club who are immense pressure to succeed like Arsenal. He is not built for that kind of level and pressure. He is a good top 6 manager at best. He's also not a revolutionary like Arteta. Arteta revolutionised Arsenal from top to bottom, the entire culture is changed. That is something Emery could never have done. He was the wrong man for the wrong club.

Look at Arsenal right now, we are unbeaten and the only reason we aren't 100% wins is because of red cards and even then every match is scrutinized. How dare we concede at home to Leicester and Southampton. Arteta has created incredibly high standards. Emery would first of all never create that level of efficiency at any club, he never has in his entire career. Emery has always leaked goals, he plays a high line a lot of the time and he doesn't have that many different ways to play unlike Arteta. Arteta turned a club struggling in midtable into title contenders in just 2-3 years. Will Emery turn Villa into contenders. I can bet you my life that he will never do that at Villa.

The problem was Emery wasn’t a Gunner. In heart or in act. Arteta was.

I have no bad views on Emery and it was simply a bridge too far at that time. His limited English (made fun of at almost every press conference), the dysfunctional squad, his home sickness, wrong bets on key incoming players doomed his tenure. I believe as a result of Emery’s tenure, the Arsenal board and owners knew how to manage Arteta better (most notably giving him enough time), and Emery, as a result of his Arsenal stint, returned to England as Villa’s manager with all the ingredients and experiences to succeed. It was necessary pain, needed by all parties.

I think that Emery is just one of those managers who's better suited to a "mid sized" club rather than a "big" club. Just like some managers are more suited to a big club. It's to do with the skills and weaknesses they have.

This is one of the most concise, educational, and well-rounded videos about Arsenal's recent history post Wegner on YouTube. Well done. Subscribed.

Some could Say "Emery has won more trophies than Arteta". But if You ask any arsenal fan if they prefer Arteta or Emery for arsenal, they would Say Arteta. Thats because Arteta has connected with us the fans again. Has change the entire atmosphere in the club, something that i'm sure Emery could never do.

And all the fans know, it's just a matter of time, Arteta will bring us many many trophies

I appreciate how much Arsenal try to stick with a consistent manager instead of the carousel of managers like others clubs have.

But they do need to get a better Arsenal women's coach since the whole situation is similar to Ten Hag which is irritating

I love Wenger, I respect Wenger.. I never talked bad about him only thing I felt was that he shouldnt have signed his last contract and instead should have retired if he had done so it would have given us the right time to poach Klopp from Dortmund

Proof Emery is a middle club manager and can make them look better. Definitely what he did in Spain and now with Villa. He cannot manage a top top club with the highest expectations as he did at PSG and Arsenal. He should stay at the Villas, Sevillas of this world I bet he can’t even handle a job at Liverpool, Man United, or Chelsea

Wenger is the best.. without Wenger... Gooners won't have the Emirates stadium.... he sign extension 5 years just to get the loan for it

Unai was the palette cleanser to pave the way for Mikel.

Unai ordered all the Arsenal imagery to be taken down at the training ground, thinking the players felt entitled. Arteta switched it around and put the imagery up, demanding the players to aspire the holistic approach that I feel is far better suited to a big club

Arsenal needs a coach who understands the culture, history and fans of the club. We've got the right man now. Emery is a great coach but sometimes as in our lives....some jobs aren't the right fit.

Arsenal treated Emery like crap. He got absolutely no support from the ownership and was hand cuffed when it came to dealing with the players that were a cancer to the club. The likes of Ozil and Aubamyang turned the rest of the dressing room against him.
They gave Arteta everything he wanted no questions asked. Amazing what happens when your supported like Emery is now.

Emery deserved more time and authority to turn it around. Glad they gave that to will end up like MU after SAF era.

This video is a bit bias. The truth will eventually show its self.
