Today is the last day before Wii U servers shut down and we say goodbye to Splatoon for the last time. I watched the news broadcast one last time, I played one last time online, then fought Octavio, and teared up watching the credits. It was like spending time with a friend before saying goodbye for the last time. I wanted to watch this to look back on all the fun. This game was a core part of my childhood, playing it after school each day, and getting so excited for each splatfest. Now that I’m an adult I miss it so much. Thank you to the developers and to all of the community for countless hours of fun and memory making.

I can't believe how long it's been since the first game came out. I've been a fan since 2015 and no words can possibly describe how much Splatoon means to me and how happy it makes me. I don't think I'm ever gonna let go of this franchise.

Watching this as the servers go down makes me tear up. The memories come flooding back of this beautiful game. Memories of joy and distress, of frustration and gratitude, of admiration and sorrow. An amazing game that evokes so much from me and others around me. Truly, one that I will remember fondly for the rest of my life.

Honestly miss this games to bits it was one of my favorite experiences the people I met helped shape me to be better and practice at this game it's been 5 years since it came out nearly 6 and Im thankful it still has a community after this long

It's been exactly two years since the final Splatfest of the original Splatoon, and I'm feeling incredibly nostalgic for it. I miss the Squid Sisters and the excitement I felt for all of these cool Splatfest themes. Thanks for the memories, Nintendo! May we always have the next Splatfest to look forward to.
