Waltham Police Chief: 'What happened ... nobody saw coming'

“I'm here today in solidarity, not only with my fallen officer, but with National Grid workers too, as well. We work hand-in-hand with those guys daily, but they had a protective detail. Unfortunately, what happened yesterday, nobody saw coming. So, I'm with my brother and sister officers here in support of the families. Please support the Tracy family and for their loss,” Waltham Police Chief Kevin O’Connell. “That's why you saw the police presence here today. We're going to continue to support our officers and their friends in the National Grid.”
