I wouldn’t call our system “designed” at all. It’s a mashup of different ideas implemented over time that aren’t coherent. It takes work to overcome it, but that’s a good thing in my opinion.

That's why financial education and financial literacy should be mandated in all schools, grades 1-12...then citizens would not be so beholden upon the government!
