MVCI drivers X64 5min Simple and easy install on 64 bit windows 8.1

How to install Mini MVCI drivers.

I ordered a cable from a Chinese supplier and I couldn't find any "functional" tutorials on how to properly install on 64 bit systems, so I made a video.
Instructions are as follows;

-Download FTDI drivers and install. ***(You might not need these depending on which version of TS/drivers you have, I've managed to install version 15 with only the MVCI driver and registry file)
-Download and install 7-zip manager
-Go to Program Files(x86), create XHorse Electronics folder, then create MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS folder into XHorse
Electronics
-Right click the MVCI install file, extract with 7-zip, move or copy and paste all the files to the MVCI Driver for TOYOTA TIS
folder.
-Open the mvci-x64 registry file. (I googled and downloaded it)

You should be good to go!

@2:44 I've noticed that I've made a typo typing MVCI for TOYOTA TIS folder, I typed "MCVI" instead. If Techstream doesn't recognize your car model, and asks for a manual search it's most likely due to "typo" in the folders.

I still haven't managed to get "Live Data" going on 64-bit, it always crashes.

Worked for me after following all of the directions. 2018 Tacoma. Windows 10. The registry file was in the folder for an older revision of TIS. Thank you!

Great video! I also went into the advanced settings of windows firewall to disable outgoing/incoming internet to the program, so now i can just use my normal computer and not have to worry about toggling internet in order to prevent the program from connecting.

Does not work, do all the same to the point at 3:50, but firmware update tool simply does not launch no matter what I do. It pop-up asking permissions, I accept it starts loading for 5s and then simply nothing happens, no error and nothing launches.

I have Win10 64bit, but the firmware updater.exe does not run when I click on it. Tried rebooting or looking at logs but can't seem to find out why. So kind of stuck there. Any ideas?

Worked after I made sure MVCI.dll was on c:\, c:\windows and C:\Program Files (x86)\XHorse Electronics\MCVI for TOYOTA TIS

Followed every rule stuck at 3:50 FirmwareUpdateTool will not open, only Administrator access yes or no then nothing. Also where did you get mvci -64 registry file? Please help!

Running win10, 64bit - followed these instructions to a T, still didn't work. When I click the FirmwareUpdateTool.exe, nothing happens.

Having similar issues, signed in as admin but when I try to run the update tool it won't open despite task manager saying it's running in the background. Any help? Thanks
