BLOOM (2024)- a short film about generational trauma, transformation, spiritual revival

Synopsis:

“One” has only known one room. One color. One sound. That is until One begins to awaken from the Chrysalis, and emerges into the colorful, emotional, sensory driven, thought provoking, human experience.

“Wake up sleeper
Rise from death
And Christ will shine on you.”

-Ephesians 5:14-16

“The Lord says, “Forget what happened before, and do not think about the past. Look at the new thing I am going to do. It is already happening. Don’t you see it? I will make a road in the desert and rivers in the dry land.” - Isaiah 43:18-19

THE FINAL FILM:
This work is inspired by Olafur Eliasson. We are born into a cocoon. A four walled pre-assigned room, made up of narrative conditioned from generation to generation. Blooming is making the conscious decision to create your own narrative, shed the cocoon and fly. Growth opposing assembly. As Eliasson says, “Reality is relative”. We have the power to change it to what we see fit if we believe we can do so.
