I find it absolutely insane that the dolphin emulator will officially be on Steam. I wonder how Nintendo will react to this? My friend told me about dolphin on Steam and he said this about Nintendo: "Good luck trying to sue Steam."

I knew that Dolphin was being released to Steam, but cloud saves!? Few emulators have this and this needs to be more of a common feature. This would prove useful to me considering how often I use both my Steam Deck and Windows PC for emulation.

6:50 as I’ve said in the past I’m disabled I’m also a career for an even more disabled mum so I do t have much time to game and what time I do get is normally while I’m in bed waiting for my back pain to let me fall asleep, the reason I brought the steam Deck was that it gave me back my games as even though I have a full PC I didn’t have time to sit and play it now if I need to sit downstairs with my mum on her really bad days I can do so and still play games while she watches show I have no interest in.

For me the steam deck is a life saver.

I recently got my car inspected for the state emissions test at local mechanic and I saw two guys in their mid 30s at the waiting room with their steam deck. I found that amusing because I too had the same idea to bring my own. While I was playing, one guy approached me asking me about the steam deck. He immediately knew what I was playing, which was Prototype 2. I was surprised to hear that because not only is it an older title but also a niche game. I can remember during my youth, there was a time when virtually no adults knew who or what was Mario. Now, videogames are so ubiquitous, I have a hard time believing it.

I love when they dip into old and obscure games in Proton testing, that stuff really firms up the foundations and tightens the code. The most glaring issue (IMO) a few years back was that boxed-in mouse issue in 3D games that had plagued Wine for years upon years. The next big thing to tackle (again, IMO) is the many games that just show a black screen during cutscenes, which seems to be _literally_ zillions. Literally. Work out that fix and you'll have a slew of titles that are suddenly Gold or Platinum.

I had previously seen the third-party deck startup videos, but didn't bother installing the plugin. As soon as you told me about the official Valve version, however, I had to pause your video and get some!
