It was comedic gold to have Kendall blame and call her insensitive for talking about something that she said she didn’t want to discuss at that time

Jeremy Strong called this Kendall's mortal wound and honestly I see it. She didnt have many lines throughout the series but she was always there in Kendall's background. Whether we see her or see him asking for her. Every time he's in a crisis her name is the first one out of his mouth. He depended on her a lot. Her, Rava, and the kids represented Kendall's sort of humanity. He's losing all of them as he loses himself to become Logan. It is a spectacular character arc

Kendall more upset to lose Jess than his kids

Jess had a 100 times more integrity than Greg ever did.

I'm not even joking when I say i've had conversations nearly identical to this. We think the Roys are so ridiculous and ludicrous but I'm telling you there are people like this out there.

I'm so happy she didn't bend to Kendall. Meanwhile Hugo with his "woof woof" 😂

It was so great to finally see someone with integrity on the show

Kendall is getting more and more Logan-coded with each episode, starting with him calling Roman Romulus in ep 2. Can’t wait for the finale

This was Juliana Canfield’s (the actress who plays Jess) very first onscreen role out of drama school, I think she did really well acting in the show despite not having many lines, especially with that context

It's like Kendall's conscience finally breaking and leaving him alone.

Last episode's scene with her and Greg was a warning call for this moment. Jess came to her senses about who she was working for and made the right call. Getting as far away from this corrupted family. Go Jess!

this is such a real thing if you ever quit from a bad boss. the truth is, even if they give you a counter offer they're just gonna use it to be worse to you, just leave if you're in this situation

She went trenches with Kendall, she is super nice and very professional. I understand Kendall is a super ambitious guy but somehow he can't see the ambition of the people closest to him.

There's a lot in this scene to unpack, but honestly it strikes me as hilarious that a one-on-one meeting with his own personal assistant is apparently such an unusual occurance that he needs to ask about it.

Kendall seems like the shittiest boss; the kind of boss where you're always playing catch-up, trying to interpret what he expects from you, really only getting attention when he's pissed off about something (often something beyond your control.) Glad she's getting out of there to get a better job, hopefully she'll find a company that values the skills she's built up.

The old Ken would have at least taken out his checkbook and offered her more money to stay (not that it would have made a difference) . But even he knew this wasn't about money. He knew that if Jess walked, she really had had enough.

He wants to change world for the better, but god forbid his personal slave decides to live her own life

That scene where Jess was overwhelmed in the hallway with Greg was so powerful even though it was so short. Without the writers having to say it, Juliana Canfield did an excellent job of portraying Jess’s reaction. Jess realized that as a Black woman, Kendall will never protect her and anything she does for their family is her complicity in a system that is actively trying to break her down. Kendall turning on her in this scene only proved that point.

this reminded me so much of an old boss i had. i tried to quit as delicately as i possibly could and she threw a fit and basically kicked me out of her office... then returned half an hour later with a counter offer lmao. kendall never surprises me anymore with his blatant lack of self awareness. gotta hate him as much as i love him. jess has been with him from the start of the show, he can't possibly not take it personally. actually incapable.
