I really like this format, no repetition and straight to the point. I'm going to try and incorporate this technique into my channel.

This is by far my favourite travelfeels video!

great tip about the slow shutter speed. I don't see many people recommending that. Great stuff man

If you want to do day to night/night to day timelapses its sometimes better to do it in aperture priority mode otherwise you have to adjust your exposure manually all the time. Even though that might cause a little bit of flicker, you do not have those abrupt changes in exposure that you will get when adjusting manually. For removing the flicker you can use LRTimelapse for example.

I like the quicker and shorter format, Matti! I like how concise and to the point this video is, especially since I am a busy person with a short attention span haha Thanks for the tips!

Awesome idea with the ND filters! Never thought of that and I'm definitely going to try that next time!

Hey Matti great video. What though is the best way to manage changes in light (exposure) during the timelapse? Especially when light is changing like at sunset.

I do time lapse on my GoPro, usually holiday sunrise and sunsets, although my YouTube videos are not anywhere near as good as yours these tutorials help a lot, keep up the great work 👍🏻

Those are very good high quality material that you got there! I make a current timelapse by going to the same spot every day and take a few shots (with my mobile) and pick out the right ones at home before matching them in Photoshop every few days.
But this... this video is clearly a demonstration of how the pro's show how it's done!

Another good trick for TL on the 70D is to hit your shutter f-stop button, and while holding it, loosen the lens slightly so the pins can't talk, and the lens will be locked at your chosen f-stop. Don't forget to tighten back up after your shoot! Shoot TL with the lens loose, in that way you also lock in your depth of field and rids your final video of that annoying flicker effect at higher shutter speeds.

I love the idea of adding in post a zoom to a panning movement when shot. Great idea and helpful tips. Thank you!

EXCELLENT video. Nobody talks about the camera settings, which is extremely important to get a great time lapse. Thanks for those tips man. You killed it! 👊🏼

I really enjoyed this sort of quick to the point format with examples of how it should / shouldn’t be done.

Thanks a lot.

I think that location scouting and composition are equally important as well. Parallax in boring location is much more boring than simple steady timelapse somewhere in cool spot. So start out, do not buy all the expensive gear yet, just have fun and try different settings - for example if you shoot clouds, shutter speed does not matter that much and you can even go without ndfilter IMO.

That time-lapse is gorgeous. I enjoy the sunset in that area every night. Video must have been during the spring. Solstice is different now.

I often asked myself why my timelapses were so unsatisfactory. Using my ND filters was the answer. Now they are smooth and pretty. Very important!

Great Tips. I've been doing time lapses for a while and love them, but picked up a few tips here that I will certainly start incorporating into my lapses. Thanks Matti.
