Rangers fans slammed over George Square celebrations

Five police officers were injured and 28 people arrested after around 15,000 Rangers fans celebrated in George Square.

Police have warned that more arrests will follow.

I live near George Square and the noise and chaos was unbelievable and also unbearable too, not only that but it's people like this that are keeping this pandemic going with no consideration for other people who also live in the city, it was totally uncalled for and unnecessary too

In the footage with all the red and white missiles being launched, police simply had to send half the officers around the other side of the block and pen the animals in. They didn't.

Am disappointed in my fellow fans doing this, but Wots being done to the riot police that have been caught on video beating fans up or are all news agency’s doing wot the government tell them and covering it up because strangely Thera been not one agaency even mention it on any news programs, make me sick if that’s the case .

I'm not a football fan but have heard plenty comments about irresponsible behaviour regarding the pandemic, don't recall hearing the same comments with regards to the immigration demo

I respect the rangers fans who spoke against the behaviour shame all the fans weren't like that. To what the minority did they should all be arrested along with hefty charge plus punishment and lifetime ban from ibrox from the rangers board to prove rangers condemn that behaviour. If the club does nothing then the government and police should properly deal with through courts then watch the celebrations get fully dampened
