Tata Nano has 600CC MPI Petrol Engine with 4 gear Manual Transmission and Maruti 800(discnt.) has 800CC MPFI Petrol Engine with 4 Speed Manual Transmission. Here in this video we are doing 0-100 km/h Speed/Acceleration test comparison between Tata Nano & Maruti 800. Talking to the Features of these cars they supports a very low level of features inside the cabin as they both belongs to very starting level of small class hatch segment and also carrying basic design from the outside.
Tata Nano with Genx version also provide us a automatic driving gearbox which works OK and also supports CNG Kit. While M 800 is now discontinued by Maruti Suzuki but in its glorious time it was one of the best selling hatch in India and also it is recorded the highest ever sales in Indian market.
Both of these small cars are basic in feature but give us a very better fuel economy which is good for budget friendly buyers.

Dost Tata nano has a fuel injector technology and maruti 800 has carburetor both are totally different in terms of efficiency, power, milage, torque and performance too. Yes I know that 800 is a legand in its segment from a long time but today tata nano is best not because of in terms of money. It has internationally designed Bosh Engine but we are indian and can't digest a different kind of thinking in the market and we all are reject a car without bounut and rear engine yes it has noise issue but cabin is always silent and you can't expect from it like a maruti swift or eon because all are more powerful then it, so those peoples who are saying that it is a tempo so please first go a head for a test drive and follow it's technical brosher for every part and technicalities. its fail in market stragaity and reputation but it's not a failure car I have drove this car on Khardungla Bypass(Himachal Pradesh), Shimla, diu, pune, goa, punjab region, jammu and katra, agra, mathura, kanpur, delhi, indore, bhopal, jabalpur, kanha national park, gir national park, amarakntak, ranthambor national park and many more and till today I got 22 kmpl milage no issue in engine, Air conditioner and other parts, cheapest service ever in compare to my other cars and trust me in new models you will not realize cheap quality and bad ride experience ever, tata is work on it rear out sided noise and trust me they all are doing there job very well to reduce the sound. ye nahi biki kyuki ek chaap lag gayi hai is par ki sabse sasta ya lakhtakiya aur yahi wajah isey le doobi.

You used Maruti 800 is very old model so keep other 0-100 speed test angin with 2004 Maruti 800.

I got 140 + km/hr on 1996 model .. in 2013 time period and coverd 90 km in 45 mins .. its a legend team ... May somebody cross the legends bt dont insult legends ...

Maruti 800 you used for acceleration test is not the one which you showed on the specification, that model doesn't come with MPFI engine and its 1996 model maruti 800...

maruti suzuki 800 is any time faster then the tata nano. the car speedometer you are showing over here is old 800 carburetor version. and not the MPFI version. maruti suzuki 800 MPFI 37 BHP acceleration to 0-100 is 20 seconds & top speed of 140 kph compare to tata nano MPFI 37 BHP acceleration to 0-100 is 27 seconds top speed of 110 kph. so please be truthful

You are testing with maruti 800 carburetor whereas nano comes with mpfi engine there is no comparison between them so next time try this test with maruti 800 mpfi.

That is what shorter gearing does (in this case for the Tata). Why? Because the top speed differs a lot between the two cars.

Maruti 800 top speed is 145 km/h and in 0-100in 16.8 sec. I m saying because i tested on company dainamo.
