From Estonia, this sounds like a mix between finnish and estonian and i love it

When you realise, almost 10 times more people listened to the song in 30 minutes than the number of native Ingrian speaking people 🥺😰😭😭

According the the Wikipedia, this there are only 142 native speakers of this language still alive.

Didn't know this language existed, but after reading on the comments that there are few native speakers, it really feels different. Made me wonder how would it feel should my language and it's history suffer a fate like that. The lyrics are tender, yet so nostalgic that almost made me cry.

As a Hungarian, I share the sorrow of yours Finno Ugric Brothers. Stay strong, the sun will shine on us once again!

I'm finnish. I've never heard spoken Ingrian before. This is such a strange language to hear. I can understand every word except for one (Sebroloi) The rest are either fully finnish or sound very similar to a finnish word.

I can't desceibe how painful it is to know that a language and culture so close to my own was opressed and destroyed like this..

Understand there is a Ingrian finnish dialect and Ingrian language (also known as Izhorian). The song in this video is sung in Izhorian. Izhoras are native folk of Ingria. Finnish Lutherans came there later from Savonia and Karelian Isthmus

Omal maal, omal maal
oma kodumaal,
kus rahu saan südamele
ma sind igatsen ain't!
Kus rahu saan südamele
ma sind igatsen ain't!

Ei ol' see maa, oo oma maa,
see on üks võõras maa,
minu emamaa, Ingerimaa
ma sind igatsen ain't!
minu emamaa on Ingerimaa,
ma sind igatsen ain't!

Siit kohast meie maale
langevad minu silmad,
seal on palju sõprasid
oi, sind igatsen!
Seal on palju sõprasid
oi, sind igatsen!

Päev uus, ilus, ja
lahing lõpeb.
Ärka, tõuse Ingerimaa
Sul' õnnistus andakse!
Ärka, tõuse Ingerimaa
Sul' õnnistus andakse!
