She was completely right and also a few things for context:

- Christina’s dad was abusive towards her mom (and her)
- This video where she says this is literally like a lil slumber party thing with Christina and her friends where they do girl talk and watch music videos. This was basically a throwaway comment she said
- Eminem publicly wrote songs about his wife and being abusive
- Christina was literally a teenager and Eminem was like almost 30 and he was out there calling her a bitch in interviews and in his songs

I know this is not the focus of the video, but damn, Christina went hard on the Can't Hold Us Down lyrics. Such a genius structure of words. Her ability to write is amazing. She allegedly spoke about Eminem, but the lyrics is literally an anthem for today's society. Fantastic in so many levels.

Looking back I can’t believe how creepy this whole situation was. Christina was a teenager. Eminem was a fully grown adult, lusting over her, trying to beef with her over simple comments he shouldn’t have been triggered by & eventually slut shaming her with lies in the grandest way possible. It’s mental. Teenage girls commit suicide bc of shit like this. And she had just gotten famous too. It could’ve gone really dark. I’m glad she didn’t let that get to her. Eminem should keep it with ppl his age😬

Xtina used to gather people back in the day. I don’t blame her because somebody was always trying these female pop stars. It’s served her well because she recently won a Latin Grammy for her follow up Spanish album and still tours. She has had a very respectable career!

He slut shamed her by accusing her of sleeping with a bunch of men, called her a b*tch, and accused her of having an STD, and said he wanted to grab her by the hair and drag her just because she said, "he's cute, but he's married?" First off, the stuff he said about her is disgusting, especially since he was a grown man and she was a teenager, and second, what she said wasn't even bad. It wasn't a diss. She was saying she had a crush on him, but couldn't do anything about it because he was MARRIED. I've had similar conversations with my friends where we found a guy to be attractive and a great catch, but we won't go after him because he's married and going after a married man would be immoral. It was a perfectly normal thing to say. How could anyone be upset about that? Edit: I saw a comment defending this saying he was mad because he wasn't ready to tell the public he was married yet. If that's the case, he should have reached out to her privately and told her in a respectful way "Hey, I'm not ready for people to know about my marriage or anything in my personal life yet, " and asked her to public recount the statement about him being married. She was ignorant, not malicious. Eminem however was malicious in his lyrics where he talked about wanting to do violent things to her.

Also she had the right to her opinion on domestic abuse (especially since she's a survivor of it) and the fact that he was mad about that shows that he probably felt called out. Though that's not what she did. She didn't personally attack him, she said she was against domestic violence and songs about it make her feel uncomfortable which is a feeling and opinion she was entitled to.

For a grown man to get so angry over a teenage girl being against domestic abuse and not wanting to act on her crush and sleep with him because he's married, says a lot about him. It shows that he was really insecure and weak. He was also extremely misogynistic. I know that word gets thrown around a lot, but in this case, it's true.
