EDC Perfection! Compact Sling Bag (10 C's of Survivability)

Carrying something with you for emergencies, but also for convenience, is a must, in my opinion.
This bag will cover my needs in an urban environment as well as on a trail or even in an inconvenient camping situation.
Being light enough so as to not be too cumbersome while at the same time carrying everything that I need was what I was going for when I put this pack together.
In my opinion, this pack is perfect!

Great kit. I carry much of the same things.
One thing many folks don’t mention about carrying water is besides hydration is for washing out eyes or a wound.

Cloth sail needle and Cargo tape are in the fire kit / repair kit tin. What would you change in this kit?

I think this is the first video I have seen someone carry a Bible in their bag. Good for you! Good Video

Great video. Really enjoyed seeing your sling pack load out. I’m a huge fan of Osprey packs and have carried one daily for years now. It’s actually designed for cycling, but is the perfect capacity for EDC. Osprey definitely makes high quality gear that’s well worth the price.
In watching your load out I will say that I’m most impressed that you carry a Bible. I carry mine as well. Admittedly it’s one of the heaviest pieces of gear in my pack. But it’s also the most valuable and indispensable thing I carry. And I don’t leave home without it.

I prefer a small backpack, as I get older the shoulder bags feels heavier on the shoulders. My edc bag and my emergency get home bag works well together, but I usually carry my edc bag which contains everyday needs verses the emergency bag which I have never used. It’s good practice to set scenarios where you use your gear and it’ll help decide what other gears you need. Things to think about carrying: Gloves, large military poncho, large contractors garbage bags, hand saw, hard candy (energy boost), small axe, cotton scarfs, paracords, crank lights, pepper sprays, whistle, compass, and there’s more but everyone has different needs. The 10 C’s are just a starting point and encompasses basic survival, but like everything in life things change with the environment. Thanks for sharing.

A great set up, liked the fact that you included some over the counter medicines and headache tablets. Please don't think I'm trying to be pickey but I'd like to suggest these small additions to improve your set up.
Firstly, get a good quality survival whistle (ACME or ACR), tie it to the other end of your compass lanyard and let it dangle on the outside of your pack, you can fasten the zip and let the whistle hang on outside of your pack. This way you can access the whistle even if your hands/arms are injured or pinned. If you had, heaven forbid, an accident in that pile of vegetation you were in, then a whistle would have been a great way of attracting attention especially if you had shouted yourself hoarse and nobody could see you waving as the vegetation was too high.
Secondly, add a small mesh bug headnet to your bag. Would have helped you with those annoying insects and has other uses.
Thirdly, a very minor point, add a half or three-quarter size pencil to your writing kit, just in case your ink runs out or freezes. Keep up the good work, looking forward to your next video, have subscribed.
Happy Trails !
