I wore this exact jacket in Iceland last February. It was very warm, even when it got a bit wet from waterfall mists. The wind was terrible (some of the worst I’ve been in), and this provided great protection.

Yes I have this jacket and it’s been the warmest most comfortable winter garment I have owned . Absolutely wind proof and water proof with a generous hood and nice deep pockets .

Pretty sure the hood doesn't' have down in it. Think its synthetic

Have you given a thought that wouldn't be it better if rab uses atleast 200gm fill weight of down in this jacket then it would be super warm and waterproof, making it a perfect alround jacket
I mean i feel 170gms of fill weight is slightly less for minus temperatures
