Reports say that it has been blocked for about two months
Chinese hacking group Cicada has been using it for cyber attacks
Cicada was using it for deploying a malicious malware loader
Security experts say that it is part of a long-running cyber attack campaign
India has so far blocked hundreds of Chinese apps
However, VLC Media Player is developed by Paris-based firm VideoLAN
