We had to write like that since primary school in the UK using a pencil first in order to get a pen license 💀💀💀

Learning cursive also helps synapses in the students' brains to form. There 's a LOT of benefits from learning cursive... and writing in general!

What... In my public elementary school we learned cursive in 3rd grade. That was the early-mid 90's. I'm shocked not every school have this!

I'm from Ivory Coast and we HAD to write like this when we were kids. It was mandatory.

You guys touched on a subject that's very personal to me, being a teacher in 2nd grade we are starting cursive writing this year in Texas! We've noticed that all students learn better letter formation (writing from left to write, not picking up your pencil when forming words, and starting from top to bottom). also, this helps students who have dyslexia. I had SEVERAL students with dyslexia who had awful handwriting writing "normally" but with cursive it was as if it was another child writing.
