Показать описание
Packed with smart design, the Versafix Pro is a compact fixed blade/machete hybrid that swings heavy with features. The weight-forward, skeletonized blade design gives swift results with less effort while the Chizl'd blade finish offers a sharp appearance. Forward jimping on the top of the blade gives grip when batoning, and the high comfort handle means less fatigue and hot spots. The slender multi-mount sheath has a push tab release for seamless deployment and re-sheathing.

So far, Versafix is greatly working in my hand. The bonus point is its price. I never had had such a good quality blade on this price. I'm in Japan but I want to say "Thank you" to your company.

I bought me a Gerber versafix awhile back cuz I'd been eye balling it and I really like it. I'm actually thinking of buying a second one. I've used my Gerber versafix to cut up small trees and all manner of brush. Even split wood with it and I really am happy with it.

It seemed to do a less than average job of chopping through that sapling.

So a Kukri? Like litterally looks just like one. I think a Gurkha would agree that it’s a kukri otherwise known as a khukuri, not so innovative since it’s been around since as early as the late 1700s to early 1800s.

That’s all fine and dandy, but what steel is it?...

Butter knife steel for the blade. Wait...that's an insult to butter knives.

I love the desing of the versafix but i dont like the steel used. I hope gerber manufacture this model in A-2 or D-2 tool steel in a 1/4 inch thick for serious use

Looks pretty awesome but IMO it appears a bit too short to do any efficient chopping...I mean, I get why it isn’t any bigger, obviously they are going for one tool option, something you can use for heavier chopping and batoning tasks down to the lighter more precise work we often use smaller knives for...some people may be fine with a one tool options but it just doesn’t work for me..I mean, I guess it could make it work if it was all I had but personally, I would rather carry the little extra weight.. I always carry 2 knives when I go out in the woods..for chopping I carry an ESEE Junglas...for lighter work I usually carry either my ESEE 4, ESEE Izula or Bradford Guardian 4...I just hate chopping with too short and light of a blade just like I hate doing more precise work with a chopper that is too long and heavy...with all that being said, I love knives and may end up picking up one of these anyway because I like the design and the thought that went into it
