Spectrum's short video using “F-L-Y” as background music is creating a huge buzz in the U.S. and other countries. The single released in 1980 has become a worldwide boom beyond 45 years.
Spectrum, led by leader Ichiro Nitta, was one of the first groups to introduce the black music style to Japan, drawing on influences such as soul, funk, and brass rock from overseas.

This one-of-a-kind brass band released six singles and six albums in the two years between their debut in 1979 and their breakup in 1981.
