Why Was There 30 Minutes of Silence in Heaven?
When the Apostle John described an extended vision of the throne room of God, he depicted the Lamb on the throne receiving a scroll with seven seals (Revelation 6). The Lamb proceeded to open each seal one by one, and with each seal opened, a judgment occurred on the earth. Then, " When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour" (Revelation 8:1). Following this half-hour of silence, the seven trumpet judgments began (Revelation 8:6–9:21; 11:15–19)...

Why would you say, "30 minutes". Scripture says "about the space of half an hour. Scripture tells us i day in heaven is like 1000 years on earth. So, 1/2 hour would be 20 years (rounded off). But it said "about the space" which could be a period of time up to 20 years.

The silence is broken when trumpets are set to sound. That is why we know nothing off what takes place after the two rapture groups are sealed and identified. According to God's timeline in Daniel 9, that should be about 5 years in our time after the rapture of the worthy in late 2024.

The only sound from heaven during the 5 years is the angel casting the censur to earth and I think that is when the Lord battles Gog before He comes to Jerusalem and oversees the building of the temple.
