Antenna Viewers May Lose Stations in Big Subchannel Shuffle

Показать описание
In this video I talk about two major subchannel shuffles taking place. One is a merger of EW Scripps, Ion, and Katz Broadcasting while the other has to do with the launch of ATSC 3.0. Each of these instances may cause antenna viewers in some markets to lose access to certain subchannels including Me-TV, Antenna TV, Decades, Cozi, Laff, Grit, and many others.

You can find out if your area is launching ATSC 3.0 at the link below:

IMO you're the only person on the net who truly knows what he's talking about when it comes to antennas, thanks for information.

I noticed they replaced 3 of my channels with home shopping channels. I`m not happy about that.

Thank you for not letting us get hung out to dry when it comes to getting free TV! 🌿🌹🌿

I'm sticking with my 12' Radio Shack antenna. To bad we can't hop in the car and drive down to the local Shack anymore for my reception needs.

This is the kind of informative content that keeps us watching! I wouldn't have heard about the merger and shuffle otherwise.

I love MeTV and Antenna TV. The old shows and sitcoms from the 70's, 80's and 90's are great.

Grit, MeTV, WeatherNation and Comet make me glad I got rid of cable. Let's hope they do not go away.

Shopping channels can go away without me noticing or caring.

Thanks for being there! I've learned a ton from watching you.
I worked on cutting cable for a couple years before my wife would agree. We are 20 miles from several towers that are grouped fairly close together so my cheap-O ebay antenna on my roof does a pretty good job. Our cable bill went from $220 per month to $80. We already had Netflix, and added Prime. I opted for a Tivo Edge and it has worked well integrating ota and streaming.

You do a very good job. No one can or has informed us as much as you have

Y'know, I've always called them "sub-channels, " but I don't think I'd ever heard anyone else do so--I appreciate the validation!

Antenna is the name of the game. I got one of those 20 ft Archer antenna's from Radio Shack back in the day and unfolded it in my attic. I get 65 channels easily.

Hi, Thank you for the video.
This explains a lot of what I went through. Ion Plus had my Murdoch Mysteries on Saturdays and Sundays, and last weekend there was another channel broadcasting in their spot. I rescanned four times, just to get another station's call letters showing in it's place. I now have three of one channel, two of another few channels. In Central Florida it's a mess. And they did it without warning. I found a way to complain to their email address, not that they care about what the public wants, or thinks. But what happens if people boycott their stations? Nobody watching... just to prove a point. We boycotted tuna with bad fishing habits, they changed the way they fish. We boycotted gasoline when it went up over $4 a gallon, the price came back down. “If you build it they will come...”, that only works on something interesting that we want, and that we can afford. It doesn't work on everything.
Anyways, thank you for your information, it is greatly appreciated. New subscriber.
Please keep the information coming, it seems nobody else is going to tell us.
Take care, stay safe, have a nice day.

Greetings Antenna Man. Regarding ATSC 3.0, Sony is starting to release software updates to selected Sony TV sets that allows one to receive ATSC 3.0 transmissions on their Sony TV sets. Just to let you (and others) know.
