this reminds me of some years ago when i found 2 of them in my state of Virginia one was on the plastic siding of the house and the other was on top of the deck table's umbrella

Love these fuzzy little guys! And their bigger cousins they get more reputations as oak pests, which are the Oakworm moths, are also very cute and beautiful!
