DDoS'd, Delayed, Asleep?

Players seemed to try and catch a few Z’s during an LCK series last weekend that went on for 7 hours due to network delays.

The delays were blamed on a DDoS attack and the LCK has warned fans to prepare for more. Here’s the full story.

VCT 2024: Pacific Kickoff also had a huge delay in Seoul on the 17th Feb 2024. First game went on for 3 hours and 20 mins when a game generally finishes in about 40-50 minutes lol

Update: No it didn't get fixed. T1 vs FOX got DDOS'd, and only the first game was broadcasted on and off, for around 3 hours, then the broadcast ended. As of writing this, we don't know if they played game 2 off-broadcast or not

They still haven't sorted the issue yet as ping issues is ocurring right now on T1 vs FearX match. DAMN....this is so frustrating

this seems like it could be fixed by simply having the game played on a private dedicated server thats isolated for the outside

Funny coincidence. The longest rain delay for an MLB game was like 7 and a half hours. Back before they built domes or something.. probably.

People have no idea how difficult these pauses are in LCK.
They're literally not allowed to talk when the games are paused.
You just have to sit there and be mentally on standby-- completely draining.

this DDoS attack is ongoing problem especially in south korea
every single streamer attacked when they trying to play LoL or even during just for the chatting (every single T1 players also attacked while streaming)
and for that alot of streamers are not playing LoL anymore
and RIOT just announced they can't fix this problem and it will keep going
