I just wanted to say thank you to Colorado Public Radio for this lovely recording of Simone Dinnerstein playing Bach Invention No.10.  My son's piano teacher asked him to view Ms. Dinnerstein's version so he could learn to play the piece slower and with expression. This recording was perfect for that purpose. Again, thank you so much!

This is the only "legato" invention no.10 I could find on Youtube - everone else plays it staccato. Maybe a bit overly romantic, but still a beautiful performance.

Personally I like the way she emulated Pablo Casals in her interpretation of the inventions.

I think she plays the lst invention with a passion that is the real Bach lt is a pity that so few pianist can understand this

I felt she made these inventions sing.

She plays Bach as if it was from the romantic period, altering the tempo and using a lot of dynamics. It doesn't sound like a baroque piece, as it should...

Why does she always shake her head and why does she make always look like she's crying?

Ms. Dinnerstein seems not to like what she is producing at the piano.

Why such a sad face? Even during No. 10? Cordially,

The favorite pianist of the pseudo-intellectual cat lady NPR listener. Sounds like a below average piano student.

I've heard these played well by 12, 455 professional and amateur artists.  Here is one more.  The head and face movements are distracting.  Better for radio than live.
