Austyn Gillette - Quik Raw

Colin Kennedy's "The L.A. Boys," a documentary about the skaters behind one of the most influential video sections of all time, is out now. What better time to take a look at the raw footage from one of his earlier projects: the visionary "QUIK" featuring Austyn Gillette. Here's what Berra said about "QUIK" when it was first released in 2013:

Dude this part reminds me of when i was a kid and i used to look out the schoolbus window and imagine a dude skating next to the bus haha. Literally what i used to look at outside the window.

This is another level of filming and editing. Really enjoyable to watch, it really sheds light on the pure excitement all skaters get when skating alone and just feeling great ripping down the streets!!

Austyn G. just came through with an *"NBD"* video showing real RAW street shit and makes you realize nobody else can do it better than the man himself. This is what I like to see in skating. Not only is this purely different but it removes all the annoyance that anything in skating turned-to-video is vanished to thin air and we're allowed to breathe and enjoy the master at work. *approved*

I don't understand how they did it that you can't hear the engine of theirs car (at all), just crisp sounds of Austin's skateboard, birds, surroundings... It's breathtaking to me. What a video!
