It would be nice if Humbrol could take the time to answer a few the queries raised by viewers,

I bought some to try after watching this clip and used it on my 1/72 F-16XL build. It's been perfect with no issues at all.I wonder if it's climate sensitive which may be causing others to have grief.   For me, so far so good.

We have recently reformulated Humbrol Enamel No.30 Dark Green to MAP ‘Dark Green’, this is the correct colour to paint your Lancaster.

-Spend two months building a model locomotive;
-Spend three weeks painting and lining it out;
-See the best part of three months' work ruined before your eyes when the varnish goes milky within seconds of application.

Not best pleased.

Yes, although you will need to apply more coats to achieve a high gloss finish.

This depends on what finish you are looking for. If you paint and then dip in Clear then your paint will be glossy. Alternatively you could dip in Clear and then paint, this would give you a gloss/glass like appearance and then your matt paint on top.

Yes this product is available in Australia, we sent a shipment to Australia earlier this year so they should be in stock. Ask your local model shop to contact SMS, they are our Australian Humbrol distributors.

Of course :) The new range of Enamel Washes should be released in June, the videos will be available then.

We are working on them at the moment, we expect they will be able in June.

Yes, however you may need to apply several coats to achieve the same effect.

I like Humbrol for a lot of applications, but for a clearcoat Alclad is way better IMO. You do have to airbrush it, but it goes on thin, dries fast and hard. I love it. And probably because it’s such a thin coat (compared to brushing Humbrol), I think it has a more reasonable sense of depth and sheen. Just a thought.

You can apply more than one coat. The more coats you apply, the glosser the finish becomes.

Pratice makes perfect. Just take your time and think about your steps before applying any paint.

This really depends on what model you are painting. Camo changes depending on aircraft, date, country, etc.

Good video thanks - I'll check where to acquire some - I live in Canada but typically order via the USA

Excellent quality varnish. Goes on nice and even with no brush marks. Washes off with water. Quick drying. Much better gloss than klear. Though it's a bit pricey. Good product humbrol!
