I wasn't a great fan, though I was a Party Member in the early 90's. Nick Clegg threw away the legacy of Ashdown and Kennedy's hard work.

06:45 Ashdown underestimated how devolution increased support for independence. Also, his history is bad: the Ottoman Empire granted devolution to its provinces and independence followed.
