The 4 Darkest Scales You MUST Know! #guitar #guitarist #shorts #metal #guitarsolo #guitarlesson

This solo is from my song A New Beginning. The constant scale changes give the solo a dark feel. The continuous clash between the chromatics: major/minor 3rds, 6ths, 7ths, etc. make the entire solo epically inconsistent.

1. Phrygian: 1 b2 b3 4 5 b6 7

2. Phrygian dominant: raise the 3rd of Phrygian

3. Double harmonic: Raise the 7th of Phrygian dominant

4. Chromatic: I use exact imitation: Repeating lines exactly the same starting on different notes.

I wonder why people call phrygian as dark. When it so intense and vibrant. Maybe definition of Dark is very subjective

There’s something wrong with that guitar… it’s got too many strings. Must be guitar hero.

Why to play so fast ?
In the last 10/15 years everyone play guitar faster and faster and faster:
but forgetting what is Music....
