Elden Ring: Banished Knight Engvall

Since this was added in the patch 1.03 I already had that in my inventory. based on the wiki it is the reward of the Murkwater Catacomb boss fight.

I started the game last week. I noticed I had Bill Engvall after this patch, but had no idea where or when I got him. I thought I just maybe found him from looting something while frantically running through and area trying not to die (here's my sign).

However, once I noticed, I immediately upgraded him to +4 to try him out.

My first use was the twin Cleanrot Knights in the Abandoned Cave to get the Golden Scarab talisman.

Bill literally soloed the spear knight while I took on the more annoying sickle knight. He killed the spear knight by himself while I was still fighting the sickle knight.

He's since been amazing in other fights.

He's a worthy tank, and absolutely worth using, at least in early game. I just beat the Fire Fox in Raya Lucaria on my first try with Bill tanking. No idea how he works later on.

Keep in mind, he's expensive at 100 FP, so basically an entire FP bar early on.

His cost is 100 FP. At the time I write this, I'd need to invest more into my Mind stat to be able to summon him, which I don't think I mind doing. I was pretty shocked when I got the Battle Hammer popup after defeating the Grave Warden Duelist only to find that I didn't have the hammer in my inventory. I chose to start with a Confessor, so I'm not really investing all that much into strength, which means I wouldn't have been able to use the hammer straight away, but the bait and switch sucked.

This guy(+4) helped me beat both Dragonkin soldiers at between level 60 and 65 before I could beat Morgott

Anyone else having trouble with him i have him equipped and the finger seal and high enough stats but can't use him ? Any ideas ?
