Was that haul WORTH IT? I saw this idea on Just Buy The Makeup and LOVED IT! If you are trying to reduce your beauty spending the first place to start is assessing how you've previously spent your beauty budget and looking back at this budget beauty haul was really shocking. I can't believe how little of it I've really reached for and have to say, revisiting my haul - it WASN'T worth buying most of what I hauled.

As I’m watching this back a video from JamBeauty89 (one of my faves) popped up as recommended and I SWEAR we are like ONE MIND because the themes in the thumbnail are basically everything I’ve said in videos I’ve filmed this week so if you enjoy my videos and you don’t watch her, you should! Stepping away from encouraging consumerism and product pushing right now is what I want to see in my subscription box - and I don’t think I’m alone!

I've really loved this new attitude towards beauty content because I 100% agree, enough is enough. A couple of months ago it was getting to the point where everytime I watched a video, I was buying something new and it's just not sustainable for me. I was getting myself into completely avoidable debt which would stress me out and then i'd self soothe by buying myself something, a really horrible cycle. When I watched your video on cutting down it felt totally undoable for me but after getting through that initial itch of 'I need this' it's amazing how quickly you forget about it. Really loving the content and this yellow eyeshadow look is phenomenal! :) xx

I much prefer this to a haul. I very rarely if ever watch haul videos because, as you said, there’s very little real value, minimal info being shared. I like the way Emily Noel does hauls - she includes reviews and often footage of her using the products.

To be fair you are the only beauty related channel I really watch. I have always been more interested in the budget side of beauty and loved your videos. I have to say I started on my cutting down last year as I was saving for major neck/skull surgery (now been postponed) but I really like the idea that as horrible as this pandemic is, that it is making huge positive changes in a lot of peoples lives. Mostly as you say in terms of consumerism.
I love the idea of revisiting hauls, "depanning" the good eye shadows from a pallet that isn't working for you and love the come shops with me. I live in the Isle of Man so we have no Primark but I love watching your (and with Emma too as I'm plus size) come shop with me to see what's new in the fast fashion. I totally agree I have fallen victim to buying more things just because I saw it on the way round the shop and might come up with some reason to wear it. Now I split my wardrobe into winter and summer. Half gets vac packed on top of the wardrobe until its the right season and then it feels like getting a whole new wardrobe of clothes I had forgotten about.
Loving the yellow eye shadow by the way and thanks for adapting your channel to the odd times we are in and making it work for you rather than just "buying content" as you said. xx

My makeup style has changed so much these last few years. I love a light coverage, simple base and recently (in the last week) realised I actually prefer just concealer as a base rather than a foundation and I use all cream products. I’ve condensed that part of my collection to very little and I’m very happy with it. But eyes. Omg. I wear the same blooming look every day but my eyeshadow collection is growing and growing and growing, especially during lockdown! I’ve been buying palettes left right and centre with the intention of trying out new looks. I have hooded eyes, I do one shadow looks, so why I now have 14 palettes is beyond me. Speaking of eyes, I love the yellow eye look you’ve done and I’m trying it tomorrow!

Really enjoyed this video and I also personally really enjoy your “online shop with me” videos where you basically browse online and then don’t buy anything - I’ve been doing a lot of that during full of my wish list and then closing the tab (ok, ok....I might have brought a FEW beauty items too but mostly I’ve closed the tab 😂)

Yes to looking back at other hauls. Also, if you have more cream blush in your collection you could do a comparison. Don’t bye anymore, just whatever you already have. Lots of people are interested in cream blush atm. And yes to less about newness and more on using what you have.

I love this new idea ... I'm a sucker for buying things because 'youtube' recommended ... and we as viewers will always buy off your recommendations (well I do anyway) but wont buy everything, I really like the idea of re-using what you have and seeing different looks with the same products or what you pair certain things with or trying new combination etc!! .. I think your attitude to buying less is amazing and good especially for the younger generation (coming from a fellow mid 30) to show that actually its not all about the amount or even the price tag ... it's about finding a few things you really enjoy and using them!!
Ps I do love a good make up tutorial and review and love the idea of re-visited hauls (it seems a little more genuine as well) 😁😍

I love these videos. It's okay someone raving about new stuff but it's more important to know what works and stays in peoples collections. I love watching review haul hybrid videos so people haul everything they've brought in a month and review it at the same time.

You have definitely inspired me to go through my stash and start using things I haven't touched in ages because they are stored away.... out of sight out of mind! I keep getting urges to spend... out of boredom mostly. But also because I found rekindled my love of makeup and watching make up videos in YouTube. I do need to repurchase a few products I use every day such as eyebrow pencil and mascara, and I have ran out of my favourite lipstick -Mac Faux. So I am on the lookout for a dupe or just a new every day lippy. I would love to see your lipstick stash, selfishly all pinks. I have purchased some of your recommendations before, such as the cotton candy collection, Revlon Colorbursts and my favourite is the Revlon ultra Matt lip colour in Devouement ♡

Love this. I’ve always been interested in what you tubers think of the products they have hauled and often only find they discuss the products they love but don’t talk about products they didn’t like or even that they just haven’t used so absolutely love this idea!

I'll be really honest. I had been a subscriber of yours since the beginning and loved your content at that time. However about two years ago I started trying to cut down on my spending and becoming more environmentally conscious so I unsubstantiated from any channels which included a lot of hauls (including this channel). I came across this video however and loved it so have happily resubscribed 😊 One thing is love to see is reaction videos to your old hauls, that way even if you no longer have the products you bought you can still tell us your thoughts and wheter they were worth buying. Also I love anti-haul videos and finding things in your current collection which are similar to tempting new releases.
