I really wish that the "Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo Hoo'  part happened more times in the song. It's literally one of the best classic moments in music for me

Lead singer Fred Schneider grew up in my home town of Oceanport NJ...he hardly spoke a word in school. Very shy.

The backup vocals around 0:50 is just STUNNING, not only that but the guitar at 1:02 sound epic. I love everything about this song

B-52s early stuff was great and the vocal harmonies second to none. RIP Ricky Wilson proper genius

I have to pay Tribute to Ricky Wilson.
Incredibly brilliant and talented Guitarist.
I'm still very sad that he passed away in the mid-80's.
Ricky would be proud of Keith Strickland's transformation from Drums to Guitar.
RIP Ricky - We love you.

Unappreciated band. Had some interesting stuff that nobody else did. Very different and inovative. Nobody like them.

Ignore rock lobster for a minute, they were a pretty underrated band

SO many bands try to be all edgy and hard these days... I hate to tell them, this hits harder and is more punk than anything coming out now. This song is what every heavy/high energy band should strive for.

I first heard this song at probably 120 decibels, at a bar. People were going nuts on the dance floor.

Great song, great guitar and great vocals. Bass and drum too. I fall in love with them since the first hearing in 1981...

I'm glad to say that this song charted very well in Australia, reaching #11.
We were the first region in the world to shoot Rock Lobster to #1 on the charts, even though Wiki says it reached #3.
Our music TV show Countdown, which was the Bible of Pop Culture in Australia, placed Rock Lobster at #1 for multiple weeks.
So, their record company organised a Concert Tour Downunder in the Winter of 1980.
They played material from their 2nd album " Wild Planet"
I remember they got a very good response to " Gimme Back My Man".
My main memory of the concert is Fred Schneider playing glockenspiel on " Gimme Back My Man".
I love thousands of music acts, though The B-52s are in my TOP 5 Bands.

This song is epic. Love how they used "Outer Limits" in the song. The perfect mix of punk and surf. Killer.
