While in Nashville I got the chance to hang out with Brent Mason in the studio for a bit. If you're unfamiliar with Brent, he's a top level studio musician in Nashville who's played on numerous hit records over the past 25+ years.

Brent played on a demo for myself and a co-writer...a demo...the band played the song..got it on tape...then Brent worked 30 more minutes on the 3 or 4 guitar parts he put on the track....they pretty much had to make him stop because the next group of writers were coming in for the next demo....he is AMAZING!!!

Thanks Brian. I have that pedal and just learned so much about how to get the most out of it. Apparently I have just scratched the surface. All the best to you and Bent.

Don't usually comment, but man what an amazing pedal, player, and sound. I used to be an all amp gain and distortion kind of player. But the Hot Wired pedal changed all of that for me. Nothing can really touch the sound or versatility of the Hot Wired through my 68 custom Deluxe Reverb in my opinion. The sound has honestly made me a better player. It's such a sweet sounding and versatile pedal that I even use it on acoustic guitar. Yep that's right acoustic guitar. Anyway, that's enough from me. I could go on and on. I'll just end by saying thank you Brian and Brent for doing what you do for music. Much respect and appreciation.

I could sit and listen to Brett play all day, just him making himself happy would be fine with me. Guy has tone in the bones. thanks for the share.

You're in Indiana!!! I didn't know that. Also, Brent is one of my all-time favorite players ever.

Well played Brian, well played! Earned yourself another £250 from me! Do you want the honours of explaining this to my wife?!

Great video! I would love a video on how Brent would approach live gig? Seems to me in studio Brent could adjust switches & knobs if he goes to different pickup etc. But live there usually isn't time for that

hi. my v2 has a different knob layout configuration to the v2 on this video. Why are they different and are the circuits exactly the same in both version 2s? Thanks

The only drive pedal anyone would ever need.

Pollen is crazy here in North Carolina too. I should buy stock in nose spray & Benedryl ... LOL When I open the door of my Jeep, in the hinge area it is just covered in yellow pollen dust. Ugh, I need some more nose spray... and a new Telecaster!

Hey Brian, have you ever thought about doing a pedal based on Dimebag Darrell's tone? I realize that he used pretty much exclusively solid state amps, but if anyone would be able to recreate his signature tone in the form of a pedal, it would be you! Thanks!

The Sparkle Drive has a blend knob, which was one of my favorite features. The footswitch on the Sparkle Drive is about as robust as a twitter user's feelings, which is my least favorite feature. Dang thing broke within a couple months. There may be a Hot Wired in my future :)
